Rechargeable batteries with lithium structure are able to run more than 800 times, while lead-acid batteries can only run about 1,000 cycles before their life is over. Even though it may be cheaper, lithium can achieve more useful cycles overall than lead acid.

Although lithium batteries have higher front-end costs, their superior efficiency means that they cost less in the long run than their lithium-ion counterparts.

At first glance, it seems that lithium-ion batteries are at the forefront of rechargeable battery technology, with little room for improvement. But lead has been on the rise for decades – as a material for batteries, and lead-based batteries would soon be on their way out. So where is lithium, the lightest metal in the world?

For many companies that once focused on price differentials, their long-term supply is more than balanced by the quality of the batteries they offer.

The great advantage of lithium-ion batteries is that they are particularly advantageous for long-term use in electric cars, electric vehicles and portable electronics.

Shifting the battery requires that the vehicle costs the company significantly more in the long term, which can lead to a significant increase in production costs.
